It's Forever Summer at Sheridan Boutique Resort

Sheridan Pool

New month means new place to travel! So for this month travel, we choose the Sheridan Boutique Resort to unleash our potential powers being swimmers, photographers or even blogger. Charot! Since we all knew that Sheridan is somewhat luxury resort so nagtipon kami danay kwarta. Bal.an nyo naman mga poor kids lang kami na gasweldo ng minimum. Haha. By the way, Sheridan Boutique Resort is located in Brgy. Buran, Oton, Iloilo so if youre living in city lang, this resort is in your reach.

Sheridan Resort

How to get there?

From Iloilo city, Ride a Oton Jeep from Molo Supermart infront of Jolibee. The fare would be 12 pesos going to oton plaza. Once youre already in Oton plaza, ride tricycle going to Sheridan boutique resort, but if you want to walk & save some money, Ride Oton jeep up to Total station only, then just walk along the bridge until you see the Ayanna Garden Restaurant.

Nice weather at Sheridan

Once were already there, we go straight to front desk and told that we want to swim. We paid 250 Pesos, inclusion of entrance fee, swimming fee, welcome drinks, and towel. So tadahh! Good thing that they’re giving out towels to visitors since we forgot to bring one. It’s almost around 11 when we arrived & since tag-uhaw we go directly to Ayanna Garden Restaurant to avail our free welcome drinks. I noticed that many of the staffs are HRM OJT students. The one that served our drinks is an OJT student.

Now let’s talk about the experience we have while were in Sheridan. As we Venture into Iloilo’s newest attraction, Sheridan Boutique Resort, the first thing I noticed is the sophistication & luxury of the area, how everything arranged to make the resort look closely to perfection. A resort away from the hurried signs of civilization and this resort is perfect getaway for couples, friends, and families as its aesthetic refinement brings solace & serenity.

And since nasabi ko na ngang tipid kami every travel, for this travel nagbaon lang kami ng mahiwagang chaofan para maibsan ang gutom na mararamdaman namin habang patuloy na umiikot sa lugar na di pa natatapakan ng lahat. Ansabehhh? After lunch, inikot na namin ang resort... Starting from picture taking at the fish cultivation area next is walking through the balcony type rooms until we sprawl around the swath of grasses and flowers of Wilfredo’s Event Place. Garden scenery really looks great at pictures by the way.

Sheridan Resort is just an average resort in space, but what’s best thing is that they know how to maximize the area. Inside Sheridan Boutique Resort – They have Casitas, a place for visitors to unwind, sit, eat or even relax for a mean time. Information Hall/Front Desk, if you have questions/assistance this place can really help you. By further walking, you can see the playground area, which is best for families with kids. Close to playground area, they have fish cultivation pond, somehow we enjoy taking pictures here because of the lighting that reflects in the camera. Walk, walk & you’ll reach the Sheridan “somewhat hanging” garden.

"The azure infinity pool mirrors the stretch of blue skies and reflects calmness into it. Soak up into serenity and tranquility by dipping one’s self while looking over the lagoon. This 229 square meters infinity pool also enwraps a circular mini Jacuzzi where one can experience relaxation at its peak" (c) Sheridan Boutique Resort Official Website. It’s almost around 3 in the afternoon when we changed for our swimsuits. We were both excited to swim in their promising infinity pool. Sa wakas! This is what we’re waiting for, ang lumubog ang araw para naman di masunog totally ang skin naming na sunog na. Haha. Wala tayong magagawa eh tunay na mga Filipina ang mga kutis. What’s nice in their pool is that they have mini Jacuzzi type where you can relax for a while if you’re already exhausted and tired to swim back & forth. Damn it! All I can say is that We both super enjoyed in our experience in Sheridan.

Now off topic ta danay when it comes to travel chuchu, since if you’ve been reading my other travel blog you would know that bigo ako sa akon previous travels. But this time I know that I’m not. Somehow i start to enjoy the freedom that I have right now. I once read a book or maybe a site, I can’t remember where... but it said that “being single in your 20’s is the best thing that will happen to you.” And slowly I’m taking it into my system until it turns to reality. Just like what I’ve read in the Secret Book (Rhonda Byrne) –

“Every thought of yours is a real thing – a force.”

Just think of positive ideas and your mood will be positive. Think of negative and it will results to negative outlook too. Sometimes the pain is just all in our brain. We keep hurting because we’re thinking that we will just get hurt in every actions that were doing. But lately I learned that in order to change, in order to heal & in order to move on, you should change your thinking too, even in just simple ways. Cause even it just small single step, once were dedicated we can still reach our goal no matter what.

Last travel, I just wore a black onepiece swimsuit so that I can be more comfortable for my first travel .. posing, taking pics or just walking around. But this time I’m a little bit bolder wearing two piece high-waist swimsuit. Haha. Nag level up ang maninay mo, While dyna still wears spaghetti and short to swim. Medyo conservative parin ang lola nyo. Yung tipong youre wearing swimsuit confidently with a heart. *Miss Universe lang ang peg.” But what i want to tell to other girls is..

Just be confident!

Okay. Back to our topic – Sheridan. We stayed for how many hours just to swim and enjoy the moment until masolo na namin ang pool by ourselves. And if you want to visit and swim to Sheridan Boutique Resort, they have 3 pool packages. First is the Pool Use only (PHP250 net per person), Next is the Pool use with Lunch or Dinner (PHP500 net per person) and Lastly the Pool use with day use of room (PHP1,500 per person). Pool is available Monday to Sunday, 8:00AM – 10:00PM. With those packages that have meals, you can choose from a set menu with options.

We stayed there until 6:30PM. And I thinks that’s the best decision I’ve made in this travel so far. When the sun is hiding, everything seems so different. It looks like that the resort is more romantic when the lights are dim. The lights reflecting in the pool is awesome. It’s so pleasant to look around the resort seeing combination of yellowish light that give cinematic scene to the photos. Somehow I want to bring back here bringing the final love of my life. Charrot. Sooner.

Total expenses for this travel results to PHP334 (Traveling up to Oton Plaza is PHP12, Chaofan for lunch is PHP50, then Sikad from Oton plaza up to Sheridan Boutique Resort is PHP10, Entrance Fee of PHP250 and lastly going back to Molo Plaza for PHP12)

More travels to come!
